Finding Gratitude in Life's Daily Journey

Life happens.

Things break.

Basements flood.

And yet, each day, a bird

shares her song

whether or not it has

shined, rained or stormed

overnight.

Each day she continues

to look for the worm or a seed,

some daily sustenance,

and returns each night

content from whatever

the Good Lord saw fit

to provide

that day.
