The Power of Presence Over Words: Offering Comfort That Truly Serves

"Bless you."

I offer upon the stranger's sneeze.

But do I reach out....

tissue in hand...

to provide something

practical in that moment?

that addresses a need

obvious to me?

Or just a passing casual string of words

that provides comfort to me ....

that I noticed

a need?

Truly,

my actions show I do not

invest more than airy words

when a physical and tangible

response

was possible.
