Beyond the Obvious - Connecting the Dots
There is nothing quite as majestic
as a warm summer evening
void of light, sound, and wind
where a moment to contemplate
the sky,
with it's billions of stars,
leaves me open mouthed
in awe and wonder.
I let my gaze linger.
Take time for
my eyes to adjust,
to see
the tiny diamonds in the dark.
It reminds me of people.
The anchoring stars of a constellation
highlight the brighter and bigger facets
of our personalities.
In between,
the gaps are filled,
the dots connected,
a more majestic representation exposed.
Our first view is
an outline that contains empty space.
A prism of complexity and beauty then appears.
Over time, a clearer picture
completed with experience and exploration.
