Discerning the Way - Beyond What I Can Do Alone

The road less traveled.

The path of mastery.

Each journey begins with one small step.

So many cliches that are meant

to capture a spirit of adventure and

encourage one to embark on a journey

of mystery to unravel life and purpose.

Yet, all I feel is fear, uncertainty...

torn by the decision of north, east, south, west.

Remain

Move

Run

Pause

Start over.

How do I hear and obey?

How do I know it is Your direction and

not my own selfish desire drawing me

to the well worn smooth path that is

enticing me to avoid the rocky difficult way?

Help me to remember that if

I can do this on my own, then I am actually

capable of more;

something more which causes me to lean into

my faith and trust that I can venture along a

challenging stretch because I

will not be alone without

my most trustworthy compass.

Thank you for reading and considering these musings...

To consider: Is there something you are avoiding because the path is somewhat rocky and a little uncertain?
