The Search for Reflection; a Clearer Image

I dip my toe in the water

and watch ripples form,

peering

into what was once still and is

now distortion.

In motion, I cannot see.

My own features are not clear.

I remember them, so

I can put them in order.

But until the surge, the undulations

cease their rhythmic journey,

my face

will not be at peace;

my eyes continuing

to roam and search

for alignment.

Thank you for reading and considering these musings...

  To consider: Do you make time for stillness to help align today with yesterday's experiences?
